Categories

Description

The Categories page lets you classify products into logical groups (e.g., beverages, groceries, electronics) to speed up selling from the POS screen and simplify inventory management and reporting per category.

Page Components

• "Add New Category" button.
• A table of main and sub-categories with the product count in each.
• A category image/icon field.
• Edit and delete icons.

Steps

1. Go to "Inventory" then "Categories".
2. Click "Add New Category".
3. Enter the category name and select a parent category if it's a sub-category.
4. Upload an image or icon for the category (optional) to appear on the sales screen.
5. Click "Save" to add the category.
6. When adding a new product, link it to the appropriate category to make browsing easier.
