Updated 13 Aug 2026

Description

The Stocktaking page lets you perform a physical inventory count and compare it against system-recorded quantities, to detect discrepancies caused by damage, loss, or recording errors, and automatically adjust balances after approval.

Page Components

  • "Start New Stocktake" button.
  • Selection of the branch or warehouse to be counted.
  • A products table showing the system quantity with a field to enter the actual quantity.
  • A variance column (surplus/shortage) for each product.

Steps

  1. Go to "Inventory" then "Stocktaking".
  2. Click "Start New Stocktake" and select the branch or warehouse.
  3. Physically count the products and enter the actual quantity for each item (a barcode scanner can speed this up).
  4. Review the variance column that appears automatically after entering quantities.
  5. Click "Approve Stocktake" to adjust stock balances based on the actual counted quantities.
